Welcome!

Our library holdings are organized alphabetically by title within each category, from left to right on the shelves. A keyword searchable spreadsheet listing all available items follows this introduction, and you can also find a printed copy in the library. We update this list every three months to keep it current. The St. Francis Xavier Library, which also doubles as a parlor and a bridal preparation room, is located adjacent to and west of the Parish Hall.  It contains more than approximately 1300 listings in both print and audio/video media, separated into 19 categories, with labels on each bookshelf corresponding to the following categories:

Checking out items
Adults who are registered parishioners of St. Francis Xavier in Stillwater are welcome to check out items using our honor system. Each item has a pouch with a checkout card. To borrow a library holding, please ensure that the card has the author's name and the title already filled in and matches those of the holding. Then fill out the card with your name, phone number, and due date (within five weeks of the date checked out). Then, file the completed card alphabetically by title in the small container on the white shelved table, using the correct alphabet divider.

Returning items
When you're ready to return an item, please place it in the “Returned Books” basket on the same table—there is no need to reshelve it. This helps us keep everything organized and easy to find.

A few helpful guidelines

• You may check out up to three items at a time. Please return your current items before checking out more.

• Please feel free to browse, but we ask that you not reshelve items yourself. Just leave any browsed items in the designated spot so we can make sure everything ends up in the right place.
