A Note from the Youth Minister

Hello!

My name is Gabriel Sandoz! I am the Youth & Children’s Ministry Coordinator here at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. In May, I graduated from Mississippi State University and then got married to my lovely wife Ella. Then in July, I moved from Mississippi and started working here at St. Francis. My own involvement in youth ministry in high school and the relationships it nurtured is one of the main reasons that I am a practicing Catholic today. I am very grateful God’s given me the ability to give back and serve in the way that I was served back then.

My goal with youth ministry is not to catechize kids (although if they learn a thing or two that is definitely a plus), but rather to help youth form a community of friends based on that which should matter the most, the faith. My hope is that by praying, discussing the faith, and having fun together the youth of this parish develop a strong bond as they collectively grow as disciples of Christ.

I look forward to getting to know each of you! I am very excited for this year and to see all that the Lord has in store for it!

Best Wishes,
Gabriel Sandoz
